Nearly 300 people participated in a 5K, walk and community event at Staback Park in Archbald to support efforts opposing proposed industrial data center development. Organizers used yellow clothing as a symbol of resistance and raised funds for legal expenses associated with challenging the projects.

Developers have proposed at least 51 data centers across six Archbald projects, including 30 data centers and a power plant within about a mile of Staback Park. Attorney Justin Richards represents members of Stop Archbald Data Centers, while residents and community advocates say the development could permanently alter the park and surrounding neighborhoods.
