Keel Infrastructure's plans for a $5 billion data center in Sharon, Pennsylvania, are moving forward following approvals from the city's zoning board. The company secured approval for the building's height and had previously received approval for its use. During an informational meeting held earlier this month, Keel's Executive Vice President of Operations, Alex Brammer, informed residents that the facility would utilize a "closed-loop" system, significantly reducing water consumption to approximately 1,000 gallons per day. Brammer and Chief Operations Officer Liam Wilson also committed to covering infrastructure upgrade costs for power usage and addressing any noise issues that might arise. Construction of the data center, located near the old Westinghouse building, is projected to commence in October. 21 News has attempted to reach out to Keel Infrastructure for further comment.
