Duos Edge AI, Inc., a subsidiary of Duos Technologies Group Inc., held an open house in Dumas, Texas, to present its new Edge Data Center. This infrastructure aims to serve the Dumas Independent School District (DISD) and the broader Texas Panhandle by bringing data center capabilities to what the company identifies as underserved markets.

The company emphasized the data center's compact and efficient infrastructure footprint, highlighting its operation without consuming water. Mayor Pat Sims of Dumas lauded the new facility as a significant asset for the city, particularly for the youth and education sector. The center is expected to support 4,300 students across seven campuses by enabling advanced educational tools, enhancing digital infrastructure, and improving connectivity.

In addition to K-12 education, the facility is designed to provide critical infrastructure for healthcare carriers, network providers, enterprises, and the regional economy. Jack Kessler of Fox 14 News reported that the Dumas deployment will function as a regional hub for real-time data processing. Radford further noted that the DISD will benefit from low-latency applications, addressing challenges often faced by education systems when trying to integrate server infrastructure directly into school facilities due to space constraints, which this new center alleviates.
