A yearslong fight over warehouses in South Hanover Township took a dramatic turn this week after a Texas-based developer withdrew those plans and instead moved forward with a pair of applications proposing two data centers. HCI DP Land Acquisition LLC, which had proposed distribution centers on a former quarry property in the township's industrial park district, is now seeking approval for one data center on the site while also challenging South Hanover Township's zoning ordinance. The second filing could potentially open the door to development beyond the industrial property and onto land directly behind homes along Grandview Drive, where new renderings submitted by the developer show the second data center building.
