The application was submitted by QYK Brands LLC, a subsidiary of BaRuPon LLC, in connection with a larger construction project.
While the meeting's official topic was the concrete plant, many residents, including Dayton resident Jana Cox, used the opportunity to voice concerns about an underlying 7-acre data center project. This data center, planned for a 700-acre site at FM 770 and CR 182, was described by attendees as "the elephant in the room," indicating significant community interest and potential apprehension.
