South Annville Township supervisors unanimously approved Ordinance #10-14-26 on Oct. 14, establishing zoning regulations for data centers before another project is proposed in the township. The ordinance includes a decommissioning plan and community benefits agreement, and officials said they would consider revisions as regulations evolve.

Residents and planning officials had sought stricter setbacks and noise limits, along with requirements for proposed facilities to disclose water usage and comply with standards tied to Gov. Josh Shapiro’s infrastructure executive order. Supervisors also approved unrelated township business, including a traffic signal maintenance agreement with PennDOT.
