Data center opponents take their pleas beyond the valley

Inyokern residents Lauranna Daniels and Jennifer Slayton, alongside other community members, are actively opposing the proposed RB Inyokern Data Center. They organized a media availability at the potential construction site, drawing reporters from Bakersfield TV stations KBAK (FOX 58) and KERO (ABC 23) to highlight their concerns about the project's detrimental environmental impacts on Inyokern. The opposition efforts extended to a Wednesday meeting of the Indian Wells Valley Groundwater Authority, where they presented their case to officials, including Kern County Supervisor Phillip Peters. The group aims to broaden awareness and garner support for their cause beyond the immediate Indian Wells Valley area.
