Middlesex Township residents to protest data center construction

Residents of Middlesex Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, are gathering to protest the construction of the PAX ONE AI data center. The protest comes as the initial phase, a substation, is already under construction, causing vibrations and noise that residents say "rocks the whole house." The proposed six-building campus, intended to be one of Pennsylvania's largest data centers, will also include a private access drive, security buildings, and an on-site water and sewer storage facility. The next stage of the project requires approval from the Middlesex Township Board of Supervisors, who are scheduled to vote on the matter during their meeting tomorrow night. Residents are calling for leaders and developers to be held accountable. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection is also involved regarding the blasting in the area.
