The CEO of the Nashville Zoo has publicly contradicted a press release from data center company DC Blox, calling its statement about "collaborative talks" with the zoo and city leaders "not accurate." According to the CEO, communication between the zoo and DC Blox has been almost non-existent, except for one meeting that occurred at the mayor's request.

He emphasized that he learned about the press release from a WSMV4 reporter, not directly from DC Blox, and expressed that his primary concern is protecting the animals in the zoo's collection. The CEO stated that the proposed data center location is not the best site for such a facility and indicated that despite the meeting requested by the mayor, the zoo does not believe a compromise is possible given their mission to protect the animals.
